Integrated Care Round Table

Following from the AQH International Conference ‘Moving Towards Integrated Care in Kosovo’ held during February 2016, a round table was organized with the main stakeholders to inform them about project plans and activities on Integrated Care and to introduce Fushe Kosova as the selected pilot municipality for implementation of Integrated Care.

Participants of the round table were from the key stakeholder institutions such as: Association of Kosovo Municipalities (AKM), Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare (MLSW), Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST), Director of Department of Health and Social Welfare (DHSW), Director of Main Family Medical Center (MFMC) and Director of Center of Social Welfare (CSW) in Fushe Kosova, National Institute of Public Health (NIPH), Center for Development of Family Medicine (CDFM), Patients’ Rights Association in Kosovo (PRAK), Save the Children, Center for Continuous Nursing Education (CCNE), UNICEF, UNFPA, WHO, NGOs (Health for All, Balkan Sunflowers and Handikos).

The round table started with an introduction of the Integrated Care concept in the Kosovo context presented by the international expert Dr. Manfred Zahorka, AQH Project Director. During the discussion the participants supported the selection of Fushe Kosova as a pilot municipality considering their previous collaboration with this municipality and it was agreed that the next steps would be to establish a working group at municipal level which will lead on development of a model of integrated care to be implemented in Fushe Kosova, supported by the AQH project
