In March 2017 Paula Valentine, an international expert from Save the Children UK, worked with NIPH to design a participatory workshop to assist them to develop Health Education/Health Promotion Standards. The workshop took place on 2 & 3 March 2017 and provided an introduction to standards and in concepts of standards and best-practices for HE/HP materials in order to ensure the quality of health messages. HE/HP materials includes leaflets, posters, visual-aids, messages for non-readers etc. Paula will assist NIPH to determine what procedures need to be put in place for the NIPH approval of any HE/HP materials produced by other organisations.
Paula will continue to work with NIPH in the coming months.
