In September 2017, first round of Quality Improvement Projects (QIPs) was completed. Finalization of these projects was longer than expected, because of the need to follow procurement procedures. During September 2017, all projects were finalized and feedback from municipalities was very positive.
The Quality Improvement Projects in 12 Municipalities was done in these areas:
Municipality of Lipjan:
Results: Infrastructure and equipment for paediatric health services in Lipjan MFMC are adequate to ensure proper diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and health education of children.
Municipality of Fushe Kosova:
Results: Friendly environment for children and parents and increased level of health education/promotion within MFMC
Municipality of Obiliq:
Results: Waiting area and consultation rooms have proper infrastructure and equipment for provision of quality services for diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and health education/promotion
Municipality of Gracanica:
Results:
- Increased technical capacities of patronage nurses
- Patronage nurses suppled with necessary equipment for community work
- Improved working environment of patronage nurses
- Increased awareness of population on public health issues
Municipality of Gjakova:
Results:
- Mechanism for monitoring patient flow installed and functional in the network of Gjakova PHC institutions
- All health care workers are trained on using the above mechanism
Municipality of Mitrovica:
Results:
- Waiting time is shortened and less number of patient are waiting in the waiting room
- Improved patient flow from the reception desk to the point of service delivery
- Improved patient orientation in the MFMN through sign posting
Municipality of Skenderaj
Results:
- Shortened waiting time and lees number of patient are waiting in the waiting room
- Improved patient flow from the reception desk to the point of service delivery
- Improved patient orientation in the MFMN through sign posting
- Increased patient satisfaction regarding waiting time for services
- Child friendly environment in the waiting room of the paediatric services
Municipality of Rahovec
Results: Facility for provision of paediatric services in Rahovec MFMC has proper infrastructure and equipment to provide quality diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and health education of children
Municipality of Gllogoc:
Results: MFMC in Gllogoc equipped with adequate medical equipment to provide quality diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of diseases linked with the use of radiology, laboratory and oxygen concentrator.
Municipality of Vushtrri
Results: FMC number 3 in Vushtrri municipality completely functional and provides qualitative health care services
Municipality of Junik
Results: Emergency ward of the MFMC in Junik is equipped properly to provide quality emergency treatment and monitoring.
Municipality of Malisheva
Results: FMC in Kijeve, FMC in Bellanice and FMC in Drenovc provide services for expended immunisation programme for all children of these three centres.
