An accredited homecare two-day training for nurses in Lipjan started on 30 January 2025. This training marks a significant step in improving elderly care services and sustainability of this service. Led by 16 certified nurse trainers who went through the Training of Trainers by the National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) Aging Division, the two-day session equips nurses with essential skills to train informal caregivers, ensuring better home-based support for the elderly.
“It is a pleasure to be here today, at this training organized by the nurses of the Main Family Medicine Center of Lipjan. The nurses, who attended the Training of Trainers by the Aging Division, demonstrated very good presentation skills on the first day of their delivery. Our institute will continue to support them,” said Dr. Pranvera Krasniqi of NIPH.
This initiative is part of the AQH Project activities aimed at enhancing primary healthcare service delivery and community health education. The Lipjan Main Family Medicine Center and the Chamber of Nurses of Kosovo have accredited this training program, reinforcing its credibility and impact.
Starting the series of sessions, this training sets the foundation for expanding knowledge and strengthening community-based healthcare
