AQH presentation at the 22nd WONCA Europe Conference in Prague, Czech Republic

The 22nd WONCA Europe Conference entitled ‘Growing together in Diversity’ was held from June 28- July 1, 2017 in Prague, Czech Republic and the project supported three participants- Dr. Osman Maxhera (Director of MFMC in Fushe Kosova), Dr. Luljeta Zahiti (Director of MFMC in Vushtrri) and Ariana Bytyci from AQH project to attend.

The Conference programme consisted of workshops, oral presentations (parallel sessions), skills lab, ‘one-slide 5 minute’ presentations and poster presentations. The topics covered in these sessions were from various disciplines such as: quality and safety of care, family medicine, research in general practice, primary care policy, diabetes and metabolic problems, gender issues, cross-cultural medicine, prevention and health promotion, cardiovascular disease, public health, information technology etc.

The Project Implementation Unit submitted two abstracts which were accepted by the Conference Scientific Committee and both were presented at the conference by Ariana Bytyci, AQH Project Assistant.

The fist abstract Putting Theory into Practice: the Kosovo experience with quality improvements projects in PHC“ was presented as oral presentation.

The second abstract Quality of primary health care services in Kosovo“ was presented as a poster presentation.
