A cohort study on common non-communicable diseases

The MFMC in Obiliq was the first of twelve municipalities to have completed participant recruitment for the Kosovo Non-Communicable Disease Cohort (KOSCO), which is the first study of its kind in Kosovo. Patients that had a medical visit at the MFMC and were 40 years of age or older were invited to participate in the study. They had an interview and health examination by a study nurse and will be contacted again for a telephone interview starting in September 2019. Recruitment in MFMCs of other AQH project municipalities are ongoing.

Many thanks to Dr. Haki Jashari, the laboratory staff as well as all other Obiliq MFMC staff for their support of the study. Thanks also to the participants for their time and interest in the study.
